Hours: Monday to Friday 7.45 am to 8.45 am (potential for job share)

At Castlefield Primary School we are seeking to appoint a motivated and committed Breakfast Club Leader to join our happy, child centred team; where our pupils are at the heart of everything we do. Our children are kind, honest, well-behaved and our parents are supportive.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare for pupils before school to support our working parents and supervising breakfast club assistants. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and families and providing a safe and caring environment in line with statutory guidance, where children can enjoy a range of play activities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Be responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of all children is always maintained, including being alert to safeguarding concerns and reporting them appropriately.

Utilise positive behaviour management strategies to ensure that all pupils feel happy and safe, and that all pupils behave in line with our Positive Behaviour' Policy.

Maintain records of attendance.

      Ensure the safe and smooth transition of the changeover/handover times between school ending and the care club finishing.

      Plan, organise and deliver a safe before and after school care club that keeps children healthy, active, and engaged in learning,

      Assist with the general welfare/hygiene of children, including supervision of snack time, toileting and washing hands. Build and maintain positive relationships with all key stakeholders.
